happy 4th of july!

I've had a really good day....2 walks up and down the block and smelled the roses, ate like a champ all day. played in the backyard in a swimming pool til my toes got all wrinkly, then nap and an outdoor recess at the park. In the spirit of BBQs and such, I had a veggie corn dog with bananas, berries and applesauce. Quite americano wouldn't you say? So much playing that my eyes were half-shut by the time it was time for my bottle. I was snoozing away before you could say sleep! My vocabulary is becoming quite extensive: I am doubling up on my words, sometimes tripling. go sit down, go outside, sit down, up and down etc. I love summer! here's a great pix of me earlier this week with momma when tia amy cruised up on her bike. ring my bell! tomorrow, momma and I are going to figure out how to burn a CD for gung gung and tia alex. I have been talking up a storm, thought they would like to see me in action.

6/21 good morning!

Thank goodness for a lovely home away from home escape! we are so grateful to have tia sarah's place during this challenging time. I love to play with maddie and alix....a safe haven, fun getaway for us all and mama and i look forward to visiting every friday!

you boogied across the living room floor just like that! you had taken first steps a few weeks ago but this was more like boogieing. woo hoo! this was the best momma's day present ever! Now you are even more curious than ever...toddling across the house like no one's business. your sisters lulu and casey are very supportive, even with you chasing their tails! they are getting more exercise than they bargained for. i love you my sweet girl.

3/23/09 first offical day @ ravens nest

Dear kayman riley,
Today is your first day at raven's nest! Just a year ago, you were healing from your seizure episodes (that we are so grateful it is behind us). Now, you are almost walking and embarking on your own little adventure at daycare. mama is missing you on this first official full day away. I have been busy with proposals and contracts in securing funding for your visits to raven's nest. I am so proud of you as you transition from our casa de marco to a house full of bright, energized babies and toddlers. You are now 15 months old, and the vast vocabulary is already beginning to emerge. you like to say hullo lulu, apple, this, that, hugs, mama, papa and point to many things as we go for our walks. I can't begin to describe the expansiveness I feel in my heart as it opens more to your loving everyday. You are a bright light, your smile and laughter brings joy and tears to mama's eyes. Thank you for being a precious gift to us bunnie. I am full of gratitude on this day, and every day. I hope you are continuing to heal from your croup and that the homeopathic meds are re-invigorating your immune system. I send love and light to raven's nest and all of its occupants. And I soooo look forward to picking up up later this afternoon. In the meanwhile, mama can now go to the bank and grocery store this afternoon without having to make you coming along. I think you are much happier playing...:)

Lovely weather in January!

After returning home from the cold front, we were greeted with lovely temps in la la land. momma and poppa and i have been spending some quality family time at the beach this month. i love hanging out at the park, and cruising the boardwalk for nap time.

Sudbury-mommies nite out

Mommie got to unwind a little as well while we were there. the aunties and bridget all came over one nite and had martini's, did their nails and went out to dinner while i snoozed the nite away. good fun says the gals, let's do it more often....

Christmas in Millbrook

It was nice to wake up to a white christmas. I love how everything is so festive at auntie alex's house. we opened presents, ate lots of grub and hung out. it was nice for momma to see her family.

Part 2 of family christmas- Millbrook bound

After a week in beantown, we made our way to auntie alex's in millbrook. i snoozed a good part of the way during the 4 hour drive. on christmas eve, we went to church to watch dustin and tucker in the pageant. i got all dolled up...it was my first time in church. i managed to stay quiet for most of the service:)

My first birthday-Have your cake and eat it too!

At the xmas soiree...it was december 21st, winter solstice, AND my birthday, then xmas just four short days later, there was a lot of celebrating to be had. on this special day, surrounded by my wonderful family and extended family, i celebrated the year anniversary of when i first arrived:) i had cake auntie peggy got for me at whole foods and it was delicious!
here i am, getting my first taste of something sugary...and i got to lick the plate too! I tell ya, it was heaven!

December and SLEDDING!

So...that night at the family soiree was the first time I touched snow and went sledding. here i am with momma out in the lazar's driveway. Then I got another opportunity when we stayed in sudbury during the latter parat of our trip with auntie peggy.
here are some more pix of another snowsuit outfit. don't i look like the michelin man? i could barely move my arms, let alone any other body parts! auntie was nice enough to pull me around her backyard, which looked like an enchanted forest. i looooooved it!

December and Beantown Family Soiree

SO...I am a little late with the postings. but life has been hectic since turning one!
We went home to the east coast for xmas. It was alot of fun to see family and hang out in the snow. it was many of firsts for me...birthday, sledding, etc. there was a family christmas partee where I got to hang out with my cousins, aunties and uncles.
