dearest kayman,
its been almost 2 months since you shook us to the core with the visit to UCLA med center. mommie is so grateful and thank god for everyday that you are in her life...she is so proud of how you've been such a trooper through it all. you are growing so fast! at your 4th month ped visit, you weighed in at 12 lbs 13 oz and grew 3 inches totaling 24" in height. you can do so many new things you weren't able to do before. your vision is fantastic and you love gazing at all of the different plants out in our front yard every morning as we say hello to the various succulents and drought tolerant species. you are sleeping through the nite still, except when you had a cold and were teething. you can focus and grab and hold onto many of your toys and your binky. one of your favorite things is for us to read to you at night before bed. you love hanging out with poppa when he gets home, lately, watching the celtics kick some booty. this past week, you began to roll over on your own. pretty soon, you are going to be ready for rice cereal as your 2 bottom teeth is already poking through. mommie is still adjusting to balance her work and home life with you, but there isn't anywhere she would rather be, than with you everyday. her nightly prayers and intentions are that you've outgrown your seizures already they were just but a blip in a short moment of your exciting life. it has been a pleasure and a blessed adventure to be able to share her days with you. she looks forward to many sunny days to come!

Mommies big 40th and my first tooth!
Mommies big 40th celebration and my first tooth all happened on the same weekend. Because I was being a fusspot the weekend of the 20th, mommie and poppa decided to postpone the b-day celebration a few weeks later to May 3rd. It made perfect sense as to why I was fussin' up a storm and why drooling had become my latest obsession.
Many firsts for me this weekend!
1) My first lounging weekend away in style (formerly known as the ritz, the langham is still mommies' fav getaway in la la land)
2) My first time swimming
4) My first tooth popped out as I was fashionably reclining poolside
5) My first walk in a park (we went to hungtington gardens on Sunday to see the chinese gardens. mommie thought it felt like being back in hong kong for a minute)
Camille, Auntie Nysha and Uncle Garth came for a visit also Saturday afternoon. It was muy bueno to hang out with everyone. I needed a nap by the pool after all of the activities.
We must all do it again soon!

April brings family out from the east coast
April 25th 2008
Auntie Chrissie and cousin Brendan came out from MA for a visit. I loved going for walks with Auntie Christine everyday and visiting new places I hadn't been before. We celebrated her birthday on Friday night with a nice BBQ and chocolate cake. Then during the weekend, we went to Farmer's market in Santa Monica on Sunday morning. I was eyeballing the omelet that cousin Brendan was eating...it was very cheesy and looked soooo delicious! It was such a nice visit....I am looking forward to going back east this summer to meet the rest of the extended family.
