this is a compilation of my sitting abilities as of this last week. this is quickly becoming one of my favorite places to hang out in the house. poppa, are you ready to share your favorite chair with me? i am telling you, it is the perfect spot for me to work out my balancing act, just the right amount of cush from the arms of the chairs to keep me upright. alright, you caught me. ssshhhh, just don't tell anyone that i can't really sit up on my own for more than a minute yet. don't i look like i can though? pretty slick huh? you know what they say, fake it til you make it:)) lol!

first meal of bananananana

i am not complete sure how much i love bananas, but it beats rice cereal for my first meal. i especially love jetting around the house in my zippy new high chair.

I am sitting up! well, with a little help:) in my bumbo. it helps me strengthen my back so that i can sit up longer. plus, it helps that i have a good view from the dining room table...with moosie keeping me company on this lovely warm weekend.

dearest kayman,

happy 6 months birthday my cutie pie. i can hardly believe its already been 6 months since we were blessed with your arrival. each day, each minute and second, i find out something new and incredible about you. you can now touch your toes and strike the happy baby yoga pose...your smiles are abundant and light up a room each time you show us your toothy grin. just 2 weeks ago, you perfected the rollover from all your tummy time practices and now, you can already sit up on your own for moments at a time. i love the conversations and stories you share each morning with me after your breakfast, pretty soon, the "da da das" you utter will be directed towards poppa. thanks to books we borrowed from auntie nysha, your naps are becoming more and more regular with each week passing, especially since we've learned the secret patter of the ol rumpus from the nanny club. mommie loves spending more quality time together, from power walks through the walk streets of venice in the morning to sitting in poppa's club chair and playing with your friends, i feel like i am still getting to know you more and more with each day passing. i say a word of gratitude in my evening prayers each night, thanking spirit for watching over you and keeping you seizure free. my love for you grows every day and i only look forward to what the future holds for you my love ... you continue to be the miracle and the teacher that inspires me to be the be the best that I can be.

venice mommie group

we've been getting together with a group of mommies and babies for a few months now. it has been sooooo nice to have other friends to play with. this last week, we met at sarah and franny's pad outside in their backyard. a friend of amanda's came led us in a playgroup of songs and activities. here are some pix from the afternoon...there were about 7 of us wee folks and our mommies this afternoon. we sang songs, played with balls, blew bubbles, and scarves and all kinds of other fun stuff.

maddie, alix and auntie sarah

a perfect way to start a monday....auntie sarah brought her girls over to visit mommie and i. we hung out in the living room and played. i got a good workout under the little mini gymini. it was just us girls for the day, relaxing and then some. maddie and alix had these new binky with a lovey attached. i had never seen anything like it before! i might have to get mommie to go get me one:)

the dahlgrens come for a visit

Uncle Garth and Auntie Nysha brought Camille over for a playdate this afternoon. We had a nice time lounging at Marco Place.
Mommie made nice grubbage over the grill and we chilled for a few hours. Camille took a spin in my new highchair. Later in the afternoon, I was pooped from all of the activity and needed a little siesta myself after poppa took me for a test spin in the chair.
