those cheeks are getting chubbier everyday!

not a photo of my good side as they say, but nonetheless, i am grateful for the soft pillow to lay my head down:) today, after my cranial sacral session, i was pooped and ended up snoozin on the couch for some time. its a good thing i am not seen droolin as i am starting to teeth.

ps- today, I am 3 months and some days past a week old. i can do alot of new things i haven't been able to before like putting my hands together, grabbing onto toys, chatting it up in conversation and i am getting stronger everyday (as evident by the width of my cheeks) i love to eat and sleep, am up to snacking 6 ozs of leche in one sitting about 5-6 times a day on a regular basis. on good days, i sleep through most of the nite until about 5am now. i am teething so i can be a fussbucket sometimes....and a bit of a drooler. i love checking things out now that my eyesight has improved and i can recognize peeps that are around on a regular basis. i am looking forward to being able to sit and hold my head up in the next month or so....til then, more leche and exercise!

wake up and smell the roses (gerbers really)

we went to farmers market this past sunday...i can already see this is going to be one of my all time favorite past times. its not everyday that a pretty girl gets free flowers. hanging out with mommie and poppa outside in the hood is a bonus....

auntie loren came for a visit this past week with mommie and we finally got a chance to bond. thank you auntie loren for my pretty scrapbook baby/album. i have been meaning to have arts and crafts time with mommie and put some photos and captions from this blog into a book to remember these days by and now, we have the perfect thing! how did you guess this is what i really wanted? thank you!

a day at the park with auntie sara , alix & maddie

we went to roxbury park to meet up with auntie sara and her girls, alix and maddie this past friday. it was the first time mommie got to hang with her pal since i was 2 weeks young. alix, maddie & i chilled while the girls got a chance to catch up. the weather was nice and not too breezy...fresh air will do wonders when i am being a fussbucket. this morning, i was actually snoozing the day away in my cozy, plush carseat. i am really looking forward though to the day when us wee ones will be able to run around this park and play together. soon!

auntie nysha and camille to the rescue!

mommie was really tired after days of not much zzzzz's with all of my tests in the hospital. auntie nysha and camille came to the rescue and brought us some yummy grub and groceries. we are so grateful for their love and friendship. with family so far away, they are our familia in la la land and it means the world to us that they are in our lives...here i am hanging out with camille and mommie on the couch. cousin nipper silkscreened some t-shirts for camille and i to wear that mommie designed. the pix didn't really come out as good as i wanted to...i didn't want my first modeling debut to come out this way. oh well, i am sure more beauty shots will come with more beauty sleep.

catman comes to visit!

while i was under the weather, cousin nate flew into town for a visit, we got to spend an evening the tail end of his week in la la land...it was good to finally meet him for the first time. he made all of us a very yummy dinner of indian food and it was a good and happy time to be had after such a stressful week.

hospital food is pretty yucky after 6 days, needin' my rest

i really needed to catch up on my beauty sleep after all those tests this past week. i gave my peeps a scare with the episodes of passing out the past few weeks. mom had to put her cpr to use again and we rode the ambulance to ucla medical center. after a log of tests, ct-scans, mri's, eegs and all that, everything (thank goodness) came back negative. the neuro docs put me on seizure meds for the time being. it makes me a little sleepy, but thank goodness no more episodes since 3/18 and tomorrow is april fools. if you are reading this, keep me in your thoughts and prayers when you go nitey nite...i am confident that i am going to grow out of this phase, but just in case, i can use all the good luck and wishes i can get my chubby cheeks on. note to self* if you ever find yourself in a bind and having to go spend a few days in the hospital with the white coats, i recommend never leaving without your trusty blankee. thank goodness tigger was with me the entire time, keeping all bad ju jus at bay.

laying low part deux (go obama!)

another one of my favorite things to do is hang out and read the times on sunday with poppa. here, we are discussing the finer points about obama's campaign on the front page....its a good thing poppa agrees with me that its time for change. of course, i am also a fan of the sunday style section too with mom. :) you've got to mix it up a little, some harsh reality readin followed by some light hearted lovey dovey stuff.

aaaaahhhh, nuthin like hanging out with poppa on a sunday morning, especially in bed lounging, catching a few extra zzzzz's. i sometimes have a funny way of relaxing my arms as i am still getting used to em'. poppa is being a good sport here by joining me and not making me feel like a clown. mom loves this pix too....

i wonder how many calories can i burn during tummy time? drinking my ba ba bottle is really more my thing when it comes to relaxing and i do that quite well. here, i can be seen indulging in both of these past times, especially since I've been known to hang onto my own bottle these days, someone's gotta make sure the milk source stays around...

up close and personal at 8 weeks

can you believe yours truly weigh 10lbs now? where does time go when you're having fun? i can do many more things than i could at 6 weeks. my smiles are becoming more regular, along with my new vocabulary...i can become quite vocal, especially when my diaper is when or when i am hungry. most of the time though, i am quite content. i recently discovered my hands/fist...my motor skills are ramping up, once in a while, i am able to substitute this for my binky. i can track images and follow it with my eyes. with my new blanket, i look forward to tummie time everyday. i continue to grow in the 25th percentile....i am up to over 4 ozs of milk now per feeding, with mealtime every 3 hours or so. this happens starting around 4ish in the morning until 7ish at night, my new bedtime. one of my favorite things to do is hang out with poppa after he gets home from work before bedtime. this is our special bonding time together. then its tubbie time and my nightcap feeding.

aaahhhh so soft and snuggly...

uncle john and dolly, you guys rock! i just looooove my new blankie. not only does it do wonders for my wardrobe, but i am more enticed to do my tummie exercises now that i get to use this as a landing pad. here i am after working out those neck muscles, i really needed a nap. i tell ya, aside from milk and cookies that i will be graduating to at some point, i am really content with my nap time these days, especially with the tigger from auntie alex to keep me company.

auntie alex from ny came for a visit

it was so nice to have mommie's sister come to visit this past weekend. we got to spend a few days relaxing, going to target to buy me a new bath tub and some new threads to wear since i am outgrowing many of my new born clothes. we girls went out and lunched, to sushi, did a little retail therapy.... i tell ya, i can really get used to this vacationing business. auntie alex is going to have to come back and visit soon, i miss her already.

part of the girly weekend was my first taste of sushi, well, vicariously through mommie. here, i can be seen getting really handy with those chopsticks..i tell ya, its part of my genes. i can even work em' like magic in my sleep. it was mommie's first time to indulge since i was growing in her belly. i am sure once i begin eating solids, i will be craving sushi too!

my own monogrammed blankie!!!

thanks auntie christine for my new swaddle/blankeee! how did she know that i was outgrowing all the ones i got when i arrived home from the hospital? this one is extra soft and comfortable. i love to wrap it around me even when i am awake. here i am sporting it in my favorite chair right before a big ol' nap.
